Inspired by Buddha and Lao Tzu, his works explore themes like the seven kundalis, the full moon, and Buddha’s enlightenment. Guided by Buddha’s sutras, his art reflects detachment, nature’s vastness, and the five elements through intricate depictions of flowers and birds. His serene childhood in Kancheepuram’s villages deepened his connection with nature, which breathes through his vibrant, meditative art. Selvam uniquely portrays Buddha’s enlightenment with plant-crowned heads and delves into rare themes like Buddha Tantra.
