Botanica Lumen began with a simple belief: the closer we look at nature, the more extraordinary it becomes.
Founded by Anna Surdacka and Luis Fernandez, the studio brings together two complementary ways of seeing the natural world. Anna contributes botanical knowledge and a deep understanding of living plants. Luis brings a background in optical imaging and original ultra-high-resolution scannography.
Working with real botanical specimens, Botanica Lumen creates contemporary fine art that reveals remarkable structure, texture and tonal depth often unnoticed by the naked eye. Each work is produced as a true continuous-tone silver-halide photographic print and finished under museum-grade acrylic, combining artistic sensitivity with exceptional craftsmanship.
