Cara Judea Alhadeff is an American photographer who has exhibited her works in the Netherlands. Her photographs layer intimacy, vulnerability, and personal history as they are imprinted on our bodies and the spaces we inhabit. Through the juxtaposition of bodies and body parts paired with both organic and synthetic materials, Alhadeff plays with the distinctions between the familiar and the unfamiliar. She explores the body as a membrane between sensuality and restraint, as well as surrender and resistance.
