« I like to work, to paint, to lose myself in painting, to make my worlds emerge, and to propose my wanderings. »
Carole Batailler is a French artist whose paintings have been widely exhibited on a national level, as well as in Belgium and the United States. Her landscapes invite a form of wandering in dreamlike and symbolic places which she reinvents through impressions, memories, and emotions. Oscillating between abstraction and figuration, Batailler places as much value on the arrangements of color as with the forms represented. She creates using acrylics on cardboard or paper.
