Christian Elmiger is an experienced artist from Switzerland who has been making art for over 30 years. Art has always played a central role in his life. He is inspired by the boundless freedom to transform color and form into a unique painting with a personal signature. Since 2017, he has been working with wave-like structures that have become his trademark. These waves can be seen through, creating an interplay between foreground and background - the picture takes on a new interpretation. Older pictures are characterized by experimentation. In his work, stylistic devices such as photography, painting, woodcut etc. merge into one another. He attaches great importance to a visual language that is constantly evolving. He finds inspiration in all eras of art history, in jazz music and in all aspects of society.
