Claire Sower is a painter with a strong background in acrylic and oil, having studied at Emily Carr University and with various instructors in Vancouver. She uses intuitive, somewhat abstracted styles, employing exaggerated colour and the tactile combination of oil paint, cold wax, and oil sticks to explore playful perspectives within nature. Her art radiates joy with vibrant hues while simultaneously inviting viewers into worlds of dramatic tension and transformative imagination.
