Corine Perier is a painter trained in Art History and Fine Arts, who works primarily in oil on canvas or wood. She has mastered the ancient technique of glazing, layering thin coats to create surreal, hybrid, and anthropomorphic animal portraits, where the fantastical intrudes upon reality. Her work, poised between poetry and ecological alarm, evokes a profound melancholy in the face of species extinction and an admiration for life's adaptability.
