Damien Bestieu

Damien Bestieu, a French visual artist trained at the Bordeaux School of Fine Arts, practices contemporary figurative painting enriched by photography, video, and stagecraft. He composes ambiguous environments, oscillating between meticulous realism and abstraction, where light, architecture, aquatic elements, and human figures intertwine to unsettle perception. His works explore the boundaries of the familiar and evoke an atmosphere of strangeness, inviting the viewer to experience a poetic tension and project their own memories or dreams.
