Dasha S. Kandinsky
Ukraine
« A piece of art should be syncretic. It is full only when it doesn't lack both the myth (non-verbal philosophy) and aesthetics. »
Dasha S. Kandinsky is an artist based in Ukraine whose paintings have been exhibited in France, Russia, the United Kingdom, Luxembourg, Italy, the United States, and Ukraine. Touched by social topics, her works explore gender, consumerism, social boundaries, and permissiveness, as well as the general concept that "our skulls are our cage". Kandinsky does not seek inspiration from beauty, finding it to be both empty and sterile. She believes that the distortion of reality often reveals its true essence.
