Dave McClinton's works illustrate 'the life-cycle of the inner life of a black person'. He delves into the weight of American history, which can 'either crush or harden'. McClinton wants to give voice to the strength and trials of the African-American community, visually contributing to this collective identity. His creative process began by compiling family photos and found images. These portraits are printed with archival pigments on 100% cotton paper.
