Deborah Coolidge is a painter and visual artist with a BFA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, both in ceramics. She intuitively layers color, patterns, and fragmented tree bark imagery, drawing inspiration from natural structures and world mythology, with compositions evolving organically and sometimes revealing personal myths. Her works evoke wonder and discovery, inviting viewers into transformative "thin places" where meaning emerges from the interaction of history, nature, and imagination.
