Derek Olson, a former jewelry designer turned painter, creates on large canvases with a background from the Alberta University of the Arts. Utilizing a blend of vibrant colors and techniques that transcend style boundaries, his works challenge perception, marrying the natural world's reality with a dreamlike essence. His art radiates a convergence of tangible landscape and intangible emotion, stirring a personal, emotive response akin to a dream remembered.
