Deryk Houston is an award-winning painter and sculptor based in Canada whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Russia, the United States, Iraq, and the United Kingdom. Fascinated by war and "how easy it is to make a ghost", he is also drawn towards celebrating peace and fertility. Houston alternates between abstraction and realism depending on how he wishes to reach the viewer. He prefers to create with acrylics.
