Elias Kurdy is a Syrian painter, draftsman, and sculptor who resides in France where he has exhibited his works. He describes his artistic process as a compulsion to create shapes and figures, which aids him in the fight against self-doubt. Kurdy's sculptures portray a sense of dematerialization, as though they are toppling and crumbling. His figures also struggle to remain upright, as if they are in danger of vanishing as easily as they emerged.
