Elisabeth Pein

Elisabeth Pein works with oil, acrylic, and photography, drawing on a rich background in theater, film, and media studies. She experiments with unusual materials such as furniture lacquer and develops her own techniques, such as the heavy application and subsequent washing off of paint, which lends her mostly impressionistic and poetic works fascinating effects.
