Ellen Harvey

Ellen Harvey merges painting, installation, and video with an Anglo-American flair, often exploring the interplay of art and its environments. She wields classical techniques and genres against postmodern critique, mapping cultural dialogues with a sly blend of appropriation and pastiche. Her works evoke a poignant sense of yearning, challenging art's efficacy amidst haunting doubts of its societal impact.
