« My artistic inspirations come from everything from a crack in the sidewalk to Instagram, fluid painters to the Grateful Dead, soft piano, and the trees outside my window. »
Ellen Kalin is an American artist whose works have been widely exhibited in the United States. She describes her art as an "abstract celebration" of the world around her. For Kalin, the act of creation is about relinquishing control, which she finds therapeutic. Her compositions are expressions of nature, cityscapes, or interpretations of the cosmos. She paints using acrylics, ink, and collage.
