« Art does not necessarily have to be beautiful to convey a message. »
Ernest Ake is an artist based in the Ivory Coast whose paintings have been exhibited both nationally and in Burkina Faso. His distinctive works explore themes relating to love, joy, living together as a community, and peace. Ake employs recycled materials in his artistic process, most often cookie packaging, which he glues onto canvases and uses as vehicles for his messages.
