EVIAL develops a contemporary figurative painting centered on presence rather than narrative.
The Moai constitutes the starting point of this pictorial research. It is through it that a personal style was built, before gradually opening up to other human, animal or imaginary presences, while maintaining the same coherence.
Silence plays a vital role in this painting. It is not an absence, but a presence. It gives space to the gaze, slows down time, and allows each work to breathe.
The works do not impose any particular interpretation. They invite each viewer to construct their own relationship with the painting. Meaning does not precede the gaze: it arises in the shared space between the work and the one who contemplates it.
A self-taught artist, EVIAL lives and works in France. Her work has been presented at Art Capital and is included in private collections in France and internationally.
