Fabien Mara is a French photographer, mostly known for his backstage photographs at fashion shows in the ‘90s. He is the first photographer to have published a book (1998) on the subject. His images are the stylized documentation of a bygone era of fashion, its creators, and the celebrated aesthetic it engendered. Working among the world's fashion elite for more than a decade, Mara's photographs are the relic of that eponymous social, artistic enclave that can now only be witnessed in retrospect.
