Oil on Canvas

Fodhla Ward is a painter with a lifelong passion for art, working primarily in oils but also embracing pastels, pen & wash, and watercolour, enriched by self-driven learning and her experiences at Dublin’s Merrion Square. Her technique is predominantly representational, tinged with impressionism—she favors alla prima oil painting but adapts to layered approaches for complexity. Through her evocative brushwork and atmospheric scenes, she channels a deep connection to nature, inviting viewers to rediscover cherished places and the profound tranquility or bittersweet disconnection that landscapes can evoke.
