Francisco Postlethwaite

Mexico

« My painting is a display of ruptures, cracks, accidents that color repairs, rhythm accommodates, and light sutures. »
Francisco Postlethwaite is a Mexican painter whose work has featured in art fairs, exhibitions and collections around the world. His work typically centers around a philosophical issue; Postlethwaite sees art as an opportunity for reflection and reconsideration via aesthetic forms, and his audience is thus encouraged to do the same. His ability to turn what is usually seen as ‘ugly’ into the core element of a work of art results in confronting, fascinating truths about beauty and life.
