Juan José Garay is a Spanish contemporary abstract painter whose work explores gesture, materiality and the emotional power of color through layered surfaces and energetic compositions.
His paintings are deeply influenced by the legacy of Abstract Expressionism and by the search for emotional intensity found in artists such as Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko and Gerhard Richter. Through drippings, textures, chromatic fields and spontaneous gestures, Garay creates immersive visual where movement and contemplation spaces coexist.
