Artist Gellért Simon: Art for sale at the best price

Gellért Simon’s artistic position is shaped by a dual cultural embeddedness: his approach is influenced by both modern Western art and the natural sciences, as well as by traditional Eastern systems of thought (Taoism, Buddhism, Japanese tea ceremony)

His artistic ambition extends beyond mere aesthetic formulation: he seeks to reinterpret the language of photography through a self-developed system referred to as Cognitive Photography.

Formally, the works follow clear and structured principles: the square format, the abstract visual language, and the use of black-and-white tones are all integral to the concept. These formal decisions serve not merely aesthetic purposes, but aim to emphasize the relationship between the internal image and visual meaning. The resulting works are not representations of reality, but meditative and cognitive explorations of perception itself — traces of a practice that understands photography as a visual extension of consciousness.
