Italian painter Gianfranco Fusari's great-grandfather's grandfather was appointed by Napolean as the Director of the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, and art has stayed in his family ever since. Working exclusively on paper, Fusari occasionally uses the authentic materials prepared with the same techniques and the same location as during the Italian Renaissance. Deeply inspired by the beauty of the female face and figure, Fusari feels the true work of art is the body, which he simply transposes onto paper.
