Gina Torkos is an emerging American artist who has exhibited her work nationally. She is primarily a collage artist, creating pieces of art as if she were putting together a puzzle. She uses magazine clippings and an archival gel medium as glue and varnish - no paint is employed throughout the entire artistic process. Torkos's intricate works ultimately embody her philosophy that not everything is as it first appears. The different layers of interpretation offered in her compositions allows each viewer to slow down, suspend their disbelief, and reconsider what they thought they saw.
