Giuseppe Berni
Italy
« Each image hides its fantastic equivalent; and here is the invisible that surprises us it is more visible than visible. »
Italian painter Giuseppe Berni has shown work throughout his home country. Berni paints with acrylics on wood, and often utilizes other natural materials such as felt, earth, and cement. Berni believes matter itself is a means of expression, and his works are his own explorations of this expression. Berni creates large scale, abstract and textural landscapes rendered in deep blacks and earthy whites.
