France
Guillaine Querrien, an artist born in Paris and of Breton origin, uses oil on canvas, copperplate engraving, linocut, pastels, watercolor, and mixed media, inspired by her travels between France and Brazil. She moves freely between abstraction and narrative figuration, alternating between landscapes, abstract compositions, and evocations of nature, developing her works from sketches, drawings from life, and then in her studio. Through her mastery of materials, she conveys the intensity of light, the vibration of the tides, and the poetry of a profoundly sensitive and emotional world.
