My work emerges from the interplay between inner knowledge of rules and intuitive interpretation. Color carries the composition, shifting the image's balance with every decision. I work until a tension arises that remains stable. Lines, masses of color, and intervals relate to one another like voices in a musical score. Memories flow in—not as motifs, but as movement within the pictorial space. The image becomes a field of resonance between freedom and constraint.
I primarily work with oil paints. For smaller formats and color sketches, I like to use oil pastels, oil and acrylic pencils, watercolors, and also ink.
