« For me, a work must have its own vitality. By this, I mean a reflection of the vitality proper to life itself, to movement, to physical action, and to interiority. »
Hans Jorgensen is a prize-winning sculptor based in France who has exhibited his pieces nationally, as well as in Switzerland and Germany. His discovery of the Inuit works of Greenland during his childhood greatly influenced his artistic journey. Jorgensen feels a great kinship with primitivist expression, which is evident in his compositions. Through chestnut or elmwood, he explores the human body, in form and in content, as an existential research.
