« Upon completion, every face acquires a life of its own, stirring the viewer to inhabit different moods at different points in time. »
Harvey Chan is an emerging painter from Hong Kong who moved to Canada for his higher education and worked as a caricaturist and illustrator before turning to fine art. Now back in Hong Kong, he draws inspiration from the city's evolving artistic, cultural and social diversity to compose psychological abstract works that display striking faces. These faces convey a complex range of emotions and act as representations of the imagination and structure of human anatomy.
