Heiko Kurz oscillates between painting, collage, photography, drawing and object construction. He uses restrained colors and repeating forms in his abstraction, working mainly with acrylic paints, fineliners and graphite pencils on artist paper. He also uses real papyrus in his collages. His magical stylistic combination of surfaces, special colors and thin lines radiates emotions of calm and rapture, a counterbalance to today's chaotic reality.
