Helene Hardy is an Australian painter who lives in the Adelaide Hills, overlooking the valley below. Nearly all of her abstract landscapes incorporate the picturesque vista from her studio, as well as flowers when her garden is in bloom. Hardy primarily creates with acrylics and alcohol-based inks on canvas or yupo paper. She uses brushes, cloths, sponges, palette knives and her own fingers, varnishing between layers. Her process can take days or weeks, depending on the complexity of the piece.
