Helene Mathorel

Helene Mathorel is a French artist whose works have been extensively exhibited nationally.
There are no characters in her paintings, and the houses are empty "as if nature had regained its rights". Mathorel explores water, shores, cliffs, and solitude, leaving the viewer wondering what has happened or what will happen next. Her palette is characterized by a "cold dominance" that has become her trademark, she creates mainly using inks and blue pigments that she combines.
