Henry He

Henry He is a self-taught contemporary painter working primarily with acrylics, shaped by a rich background in mental health and education in both Australia and China. His work melds simplified figurative forms with abstraction, surreal elements, bold color, and visible, expressive brushstrokes, often featuring divided faces, floating objects, and ambiguous spaces. He’s fascinated by how our inner worlds intersect with memory and everyday life, encouraging viewers to find their own meanings. Henry’s art evokes curiosity, strangeness, and quiet introspection, leaving space for unresolved questions and deeply personal emotional resonances.
