Herta Reitz works with acrylics and water-soluble oil paints; she brings to her work an art education background and a deep engagement with painting. She creates mostly large-format, abstract, atmospheric "inner landscapes" that oscillate between memory, feeling, and color. With impasto layers, diverse tools, and colored grounds, she combines intuition with a process-oriented approach. Her works radiate emotionality, a connection to life, and a poetic longing for balance and transformation.
