« Humans fascinate me, disturb me. My paintings live in this state of in between. »
Hugo Mayer is an experienced German painter who has consistently exhibited his works nationally. His principal subject is the human being, with all his dreams and desires, wounds and inadequacies, and he communicates this through a mix of abstraction and figurative elements. This ultimately allows for perceptible, multifaceted and complex visual stories to arise.
