« I do not have a "signature" style. Each painting requires its own approach. Whether I work from observation or from imagination, I always stretch boundaries of possible and just try to give the painting all I can. »
Ilya Lerner is an experienced American painter with international exposure. After four decades of experimenting with different techniques, today he primarily composes 'en plein air' paintings influenced by impressionism alongside works with a strong narrative line. His finished pieces appear technically precise and thematically uninhibited, with color combinations as diverse as the subjects they bring to life.
