Ima Barraza is an experienced Colombian painter and draftswoman who also works as an art director in the advertising and graphic design sector. She predominately explores the essence of femininity in her work, including investigations into societal ideas and expectations of womanhood. For Barraza, the female figure is a powerful form through which to comment on women's issues, while simultaneously celebrating aspects of the nature and form of women themselves. Her works ultimately speak to shared experiences and contain both technical and conceptual depth.
