Influenced by contemporary expressionists such as Fabienne Verdier and Pierre Soulages, she constructs an expressionist style that employs strong colours, gestural elements and a balance of the poetic and provocative. Gautier's work has featured in prizes, publications and exhibitions throughout the US.
