« My paintings are everything I can't say in words. On the canvas I express my feeling for the world, my love for nature. »
Ivan Gotsev is a Bulgarian artist who has exhibited widely. It was a love of people and nature that inspired him to become an artist and create personal abstract paintings. Although mainly using oil on canvas, Gotsev does not limit the scope of his creativity and sometimes includes textiles and other materials in his works. He describes his artistic process as a constant attempt to strike a balance between a spontaneous and rational approach.
