« My painting is a journey where getting lost is allowed. Where letting go goes hand in hand with my natural abnegation. There is no wrong direction. »
Jade Rousset's work as a painter allows her to become aware that her body evolves in an atmosphere. The French artist transcribes these moments where body and space meet. However, Rousset's compositions are not representational, "everything becomes impressions". She describes her art as being too imprecise to be a landscape, yet also too evocative to only be labeled as abstract. It is a void in which she keeps digging that nourishes both herself and her art.
