« I challenge perspective and space to create works of reconstructed streets and cities that explore the relationship between the personal and cultural. »
Jade Thompson is an artist based in Australia whose paintings have been exhibited nationally and in Scotland. He describes his distinctive cityscapes as not only recording beautiful places but also translating the relationship between the cultural and the personal. Through his works, Thompson explores concepts relating to home vs. away and the feeling of being lost. He primarily creates using acrylics and gouache on synthetic board.
