Jan Park

Jan Park is a painter and printmaker with a background in textile design and university-level art lecturing. She employs acrylics, oils, mark making, printed collage papers, and layered textures, blending semi-abstract painting with richly built-up surfaces reminiscent of textile patterns. Her process involves sketchbook studies, written narratives inscribed beneath each painting, and a deeply instinctive use of color. Through her evocative landscapes, city backstreets, and seascapes, she invites viewers to feel the peace, solitude, or exciting energy of a place, forging emotional connections and sparking vivid memories.
