« I want to paint beautiful and interesting paintings. It is about the alchemy of art. Like an alchemist, an artist transforms from simple materials into something valuable and lasting. »
Jaro Palmu is an artist based in Finland whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. He describes his artistic practice as being divided into two distinctive themes: Wabi-Sabi and Divine Colors, which is based on the Old Testament of the Bible. According to Exodus 26, God chose colors and materials to decorate the Temple of Solomon, which included blue, purple, carmine, linen, acacia, copper, and gold. Palmu favors these in his compositions and refers to them as being "God-chosen".
