Jay Golding, a Jamaican-rooted artist, blends realism and expressionism in acrylics, oils, and collage, infusing his works with Caribbean and African cultural motifs. He employs tactile collage elements and vibrant palettes to evoke mythology, migration, and interconnectedness, creating layers both literal and symbolic. His artwork is an intense dialogue of identity, steeped in the richness of diasporic experiences, emanating a complex emotionality that seeks to connect the past and present.
