Jean-Jacques Piezanowski is an artist based in France whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in China, Germany, and Poland. Through portraiture, he searches for an expression of the human soul. Piezanowski's figurative compositions reflect elements of rupture, scars, fractures, and traces of writing, which are "the marks of life passing". He describes his art as "carrying the stigmata of time" and translating the gap between the ideal life and the brutality of reality.
