Jeff Brouws

Jeff Brouws, a documentary photographer born in 1955, captures the essence of American landscapes and built environments with his keen eye from his home in Upstate New York. He employs a contemplative approach, often using the technique of seriality to create powerful thematic collections that document urban and rural decay. His works evoke a sense of loss and nostalgia, yet they underscore a poetic beauty in the overlooked corners of America.
