« All works, no matter what or by whom painted, are nothing but bagatelles and childish trifles, unless they are made and painted from life, and there can be nothing better than to follow nature. -Caravaggio »
Jerry Ross is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist based in the United States whose works have been exhibited in Italy. His distinctive figurative works and landscapes are created in a style called he refers to as "American Verismo", which derives from Italian painting theory wherein the freshness of the sketch is visible in the finished piece. Ross primarily creates with oils and pigments on canvas.
