« John Ball creates unsettling images of a dystopian suburban landscape. »
U.K. painter John Ball's works have been seen in exhibitions in the US, China, and the U.K. Working with oil on canvas, John Ball often works from photographic references to achieve his hyper realistic style.
As subjects, Ball uses seemingly banal places- car parks, fast food restaurants, abandoned houses- that he infuses with an electric realism that hums with a ghostly energy and fragile luminosity.
